Hey! I hope y'all are doing good❤
So we see stuff about improving ourselves, whether by inspiring stories, or motivational podcasts, or YouTube videos, don't we?
But the real question is, how many of us really implement those tips?
Sometimes our laziness gets the best of us, sometimes we tell ourselves, "Not everybody can be perfect."
But the truth is that most people DON'T EVEN TRY to improve themselves, forget about the results. 🤦🏻
Okay so now let's come to the main point, What should we do in order to improve ourselves?
It mainly depends on the field you're trying to improve yourself in. It could be your health, your academics, your career, etc. But one thing which applies in all the fields is smart work and passion.
If you're trying to improve your health, stick to it. No matter how lazy or demotivated you feel, get up and start hustling. Go on that walk. Pick up that weight. Accept that 30-day fitness challenge. It all starts with YOU! Until and unless YOU won't try to improve, no video or podcast, or lecture will help you to achieve your dream body.
If you're trying to improve in academics, start practicing daily. Take your books, pick your favorite pen, start writing, reading, or whatever you need to do. Skip that night out and set a target for studying ✨
But hey, don't forget to take short breaks, time to time, to refresh yourself. A cheat day won't ruin your body nor would a break from studies would do something to your grades. If you've been studying for a long time, get up, stretch yourself a little bit, grab a snack and read your favorite book or go for a short walk. This way, you will be able to concentrate better and won't get fed up with the constant hustle.
A few days ago when I posted a question sticker on my Instagram story, asking for blog ideas, I got a response saying "What should we do in this lockdown time to improve yourselves?" Though I answered it on my story saying that you can pick up a new course or learn a new skill or read a book, here are some more things you can do 👇🏻 (During or without lockdown)
1. Meditate
2. Set goals
3. Read daily
4. Judge less
5. Eat healthily
6. Love yourself
7. Wake up early
8. Start a journal
9. Quit a bad habit
10. Ask for feedback
11. Learn a new skill
12. Believe in yourself
13. Start a new routine
14. Plan a new strategy
15. Don't make excuses
16. Stop procrastinating
17. Review your finances
18. Change your attitude
19. Learn a new language
20. Question your purpose
21. Focus one day at a time
22. Don't compare yourself
23. Automate and delegate
24. Acknowledge your flaws
25. Identify your blind spots
26. Leave your comfort zone
27. Change your social circle
28. See failure as an opportunity
29. Follow an exercise routine
30. Set a target
31. Start being more organized
32. Quit things that aren't working
33. Write a letter to your future self
The first step is the most difficult one. But, trust me, it would be worth it :)
Start by doing 1 push-up.
Start by drinking a cup of water.
Start by reading 1 page.
Start by deleting 1 old contact.
Start by walking 1 lap.
Start by writing 1 paragraph.
Start today,
repeat tomorrow ❤
And yeah, one more piece of advice, if you've started something, DON'T GIVE UP FOR GOD'S SAKE! There will be ups and downs, highs and lows, but please, please, please don't give up! Who knows that business you started would go on and become the world's biggest trillion-dollar empire! Or that book you started writing a while ago may end up at the top of the New York Time's Bestseller List?! You never know. Nelson Mandela once said, "I never lose. I either win or learn." Make this quote your life motto and you'll never fail ;)
