Hey there! I hope you all are doing great. As I said in my previous blog, it was my aunt's wedding the day before yesterday. (23rd of February). So, in this blog, I'll be describing all the events which took place during my Aunt's wedding. Here we go!

Muslim marriages mainly consist of 3 occasions. Which are Maiyyon, Wedding, and the Walima ceremony. The first program, as usual, was held in the evening. I, my mom, and my aunt were busy getting dressed up. So we were a Lil bit late while reaching 😅 Then started the up-down of guests, dinner and the arrival of the bride. I planned to do her welcome in a traditional way i.e., holding a brightly colored cloth or a blanket made up of flowers with the help of hands or either by sticks covered with flowers. I decided to go for the stick idea as it looked comparatively more beautiful than just holding it by the hands. I, 2 of my aunt's cousins, and 1 of her friends were holding the 4 ends of the cloth. And you guys! It was so beautiful. I'm not gonna lie 🙈 And also, this tradition is not so popular among people nowadays. So it was sort of unique :) The Maiyyon Ceremony ended after all the guests were done eating and meeting the bride. It took me midnight to reach home and somewhere between 12:30- 1:00 A.m., I fell asleep. The wedding was held 3 days after the maiyyon, so we all got enough time to refresh ourselves and prepare for my aunt's big day. And the day arrived. We all woke up really early in the morning 'cause we had a ton of things to do. Getting ready, taking care of the arrangements, prepare for the groom's welcome and so much other stuff. I got ready to go to the beautician and sent all the stuff which I needed for my aunt's wedding to the banquet hall such as chargers, laptop (Cause I was the D.J. for her wedding ;) ) I reached the beautician's salon approximately at 12:00 P.M. and when I got out, it was 3:00 P.M.! It happened so because all 3 of us, My aunt, My mom, and I were getting ready. Anyways, we reached the banquet hall as fast as we could, seated the bride in her room, and went to meet the groom's family and friends. That was an amazing scene bruh! The music was playing,(Thanks to my brother who handled the D.J. job very nicely) people were talking and laughing, and some were eating snacks. I couldn't get any of the starters because it was already 3:00 P.M., time for lunch. So I clicked a few pics, recorded a few videos, and was constantly handling my D.J. Job too! Then it was time for the bride to come on the stage. We required 6 people to hold the blanket made up of flowers, and GUESS WHAT! We had a total of 15 people as guests from our side (Sounds weird I know) So almost every one of the bride's side went to her room, held the flower blanket, and got ready to bring the bride in front of everyone. But it was not an easy job. First, we have to walk all the way to the elevator, then to the floor where the Grand Ballroom was located, and again walk all the way to the stage with that heavy flower blanket. Anyways, we did a great job and as we entered the Grand Ballroom, everyone was looking at us with their eyes wide opened. Because, as I said earlier, this flower blanket tradition is not on trend these days. So the bride was seated at her place, along with the groom. Everyone clicked a few pictures with the bride-groom. Then lunch started. Everyone was having lunch whereas I was managing my playlist and my family was just chatting around with the relatives. Then we all sat together and had lunch. The Nikah ceremony was held at the Mosque afterward. It went on like this till 6:30 P.M. when it was time for the Vidai Ceremony. We all bid goodbye to my Aunt and wished her all the best for everything which was going to take place in her life. I went to my home after everyone had left. Then after 2 days,i.e., today, the Walima Ceremony had to be held. But with all the things happening in Delhi at present, my family decided that it's not probably the best time to go there. I just talked to her on video call because I was missing her so much and wanted to see her Walima look. As soon as things would get better, we'll go see her :) Till then, we can talk to her on Video calls!
